Writing - Other British Wildlife

There are so many different animals around the UK that we don't usually see in our gardens. Today, choose one of the following animals to learn more about. Write a short paragraph about it.

  • Pine Martens
  • Foxes
  • Badgers
  • Hedgehogs
  • Stoats
  • Otters

Use the Springwatch clips page to find clips of all of these animals, and websites such as the wildlife trust ( ) to help you. Remember to adhere to online safety guidance and ask an adult to help you with your research.

Present your work however you like - as a poster, short descriptive paragraph, fact file or other. Get creative with the presentation of your learning. Remember to use punctuation, correctly and always write neatly on a line.

I look forward to hearing about your discoveries!

Reading for pleasure is so important and so today I would like you to take the time to enjoy your favourite books. You might choose something you've read many times, you might ask an adult to read you a more challenging story, or you might like to listen to an audio book. Take some time to enjoy listening to or reading stories.

Afternoon - Forest School

Lots of our learning this week has been themed around the wildlife we find in the UK, and our local area.

Today, for Forest School, I'd like you to think about how you can support our wonderful range of birds! In school, we would usually make bird feeders at this time of year. There are many different ways to do this.

Mindfulness / Well-Being

Every day we will give you a suggested mindfulness or well-being activity. This is just an idea and is optional.

It's Friday!

  • Choose your favourite family movie.
  • Grab some snacks and a blanket and snuggle up to enjoy a movie night together!
