A big thank you (and a Dojo point) to Maddox, Ayla, Max, Joshie, Skye, Ezra, Bobby, Meda, Jayden and Domas for sending work through yesterday.

I will update the website over the coming days with your pictures.

Our Spelling Shed champion yesterday was Max for the second day in a row.

The ReadTheory crown goes to Max.

Last Joe Wicks PE session in our virtual classroom for a little while (although you can still do it every morning if you want to!)

I want to see you all ready to workout at 9am!

Join in with Jane for another lesson. I wonder what you will be doing today?

Super Sentence Stacking

with Jane Considine, author of The Write Stuff

Can't access Youtube or want to do something else?

This week we will be using the film Spy Fox to write a news report. Today, I would like you to write some questions that you could ask witnesses. Imagine that you are a reporter...who would you interview? What questions would you ask?

Click on the picture of Jane to join her YouTube channel and take part in her super sentence stacking lessons every morning at 9:45am

Don't forget to log onto Spelling Shed and practise your spellings.

Log on to ReadTheory and complete 20 minutes of reading comprehension

Your reading challenge for today is to choose a book to read because you love the pictures in it.

  • Log on to MyMaths and complete the work set for today 'Introducing negative numbers'
  • Remember that you are aiming for 80% - you can try as many times as you need to.
  • Spend 20 minutes on either TT Rockstars, Maths Shed or Hit the Button
  • If you want to do something different or want more maths then you have your homework books-complete the next page.

For those of you who are still working on the geography project then I've added that again for today. I've also added some extra PE ideas to get you up and moving today!

Take a break and listen to a story, or do some mindfulness colouring :-)

Tuesday 31st March 2020

You have the geography work to continue with today but there is this Science activity to try too! I know how much some of you like paper aeroplanes!

Good Morning Class 4,

I hope you've all had a relaxing weekend and are ready for another week!

This week will be a little bit different as I am going to set a series of Geography tasks for your topic work rather than something different each day. By the end of the week, you will have completed a series of activities, I'm looking forward to seeing what you produce :-)

Don't forget, if you are stuck with your learning or are not sure what you should be doing then just get an adult to message me and I will help you.

Have a great day,

Miss Pearce

Get ready for the week ahead with PE with Joe Wicks.

Make this your best workout yet!

If you can't access Youtube or you want to continue working on Marshmallows instead.

Today I would like you to write at least two paragraphs but this time I would like you to add dialogue (speech).

Remember to punctuate it correctly!

I've added some ideas to get you started.

As the boy slowly turned around, he muttered quietly under his breath. "Please, please don't eat me!" he thought, a million images running through his mind.

"I don't want to eat you, but I am particularly fond of freshly toasted marshmallows," the monster chuckled, licking his lips excitedly!

Your task today is to complete a random act of kindness

  • Run a bubble bath for a grown up
  • Empty the dishwasher
  • Phone somebody you haven't spoken to for a while
  • Send a letter to a friend
  • Set the table for dinner

We are all really familiar with the lenses we use for writing in school, and many of us are experts at sentence stacking too. Now it's time to join in with Jane and show your mums and dads what amazing writers you are - they can even join in too!

I will be checking in on your progress and will announce those who have answered accurately.

Relax at the end of the day with a good on the

'Audible Stories ' box to start your first story.

I will update this each day so that you can try different books.

I'm looking forward to hearing which ones are your favourite!

Why not recommend a book to a friend?
