Autumnal Leaves
“In Autumn, every leaf is a little piece of magic.” - unknown
A foggy start to the day today did not stop us exploring and finding interesting leaves!
Year 2 had a wonderful time collecting leaves for their wiggly nature art inspired Caterpillars. All sorts of sizes and colours were collected.

Before we started exploring, I read a story familiar to all - 'Superworm'. We tried to see if we could find any worms and mini beasts in our Forest School area. A few were found which caused great excitement amongst the children.
We then decided to see how many children it would take to hug our beautiful oak tree in our area. What do you think? Well, after trying it took 5 but 4 with a wide stretchy arms.
After warming up with a cup of hot chocolate and learning some fire safety it was time to head indoors.
I loved spending time with year 2 today, they were so happy to be outside, exploring and doing something new - especially because the sun shone and it was a most beautiful day, It was brilliant to see. Well done Year 2, I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
