Welcome to the East Farleigh Primary School family

We believe in making sure that every child and parent is fully prepared so that the settling in process is a success for everyone. With this is mind, the following information provides you with an insight of what to expect.

Online Pupil Information Pack

Now that you have made the exciting decision to accept a place for your child at East Farleigh Primary School, it is time to start the process of completing a number of forms that will make sure we have all the information we need to ensure a smooth transition.

We will email you with any information going forward using the email address from which you applied at KCC. If you need to change this, or add the other parent, please email us admin@east-farleigh.kent.sch.uk

Parent Information Evening

We will be holding a parent information evening where we will be providing further details about the start of term in September. This event will be attended by the school SENCO, the Headteacher, our wonderful EYFS staff and our catering company (so that you can sample some of the options from our school lunch menu).

Apply for a day/time

Home Visits

Our EYFS staff will be offering you the chance to schedule a home visit. These provide a valuable opportunity for you to ask questions in the comfort of your own home. It also allows our EYFS staff to meet and interact with your child in their home environment; we are sure they will have lots of questions of their own to ask too!

Teddy Bear's Picnic

Come and join us on our school field for a teddy bear's picnic. This is a great opportunity to informally meet other parents, chat to teachers and allow your children to begin to form new friendships. Your child will be given a special Farleigh Bear to take home as a 'hello' and 'welcome to your new school' memento.

Please bring your own picnic blanket!

Pupil Taster Afternoon

Half of the new EYFS cohort will be invited to spend the afternoon in their new indoor/outdoor classroom. This will give them the opportunity to spend some time getting to know their new teachers and classmates as well as to explore learning through. Parents are encouraged to say quick goodbyes so that children can start having fun.

Children with Additional or Special Educational Needs

If you have a child with additional needs or is in the process of applying for an Education Health Care Plan, please contact our SENCo, Rachel Hodges, rhodges@east-farleigh.kent.sch.uk. We will be able to arrange a time to meet with you individually to discuss the needs of your child and how we can best meet them.
