London's Burning!

Alongside our Geography topic of 'Bright Lights Big City', Year 1 had a history lesson all about a Landmark's Story.

We learnt all about...The Great Fire of London!

We broke the lesson up into 3 parts:

1. Why did The Great Fire of London happen?
2. What happened during The Great Fire of London?
3. What happened after The Great Fire of London?

Our skill in this lesson was:
- To describe a significant historical event in British history.

The core knowledge in this lesson was:
- A bakery fire in Pudding Lane started the Great Fire of London in 1666. A monument commemorates the event.
