At East Farleigh we always celebrate the successes of our teams that represent us. We love to share photos of these events so that you can celebrate with them too!
2022-2023
Thursday 6th July 2023
Today we were incredibly lucky to have Matilda Woodhead, a past East Farleigh Primary School pupil, come to visit us. Matilda plays U21 Hockey for England and delivered a workshop to each class throughout the day.

Friday 26th May- KS2 Netball match against Coxheath Primary School
On Friday the Netball team played their final league match against Coxheath. Both teams displayed excellent sportsmanship and our team never once gave up. There were lots of fantastic interceptions and defending and some incredibly close goals.
Unfortunately we lost 19-3 but the team played really well together and should be incredibly proud of themselves! Well done to you all. :)
Wednesday 24th May- KS2 Football match against Langley Park
On Wednesday the KS2 Football team played their final league match against Langley. They played incredibly well and managed to win 2-0 so a fantastic result- well done boys!
Thursday 18th May- KS2 Rounders Tournament
This Thursday children from all KS2 class went and took part in a rounders tournament at Greenfields Primary School.
They played against lots of other schools and worked incredibly well in their teams. Unfortunately they didn't make it through to the finals however they all had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed their tournaments! :)
Wednesday 19th April- Football league match against Loose
The KS2 Football Team played a league match against Loose yesterday and all played incredibly well.
They were up against some really tough competition and managed to defend and attack brilliantly.
Unfortunately the final result was 2-3 to Loose, however they should all feel really proud of themselves for the amazing effort they all put in! :)
Thursday 30th March- Netball tournament at Greenfields
Today the KS2 Netball team took part in the Greenfields Netball tournament. They braved winds and rain to play some incredible netball. They won two games but unfortunately lost three despite some incredible passing, shooting and defending.
Well done to all of you, you should feel incredibly proud of yourselves!

Wednesday 22nd March- Football league match against Boughton
This Wednesday the KS2 football team played a league match against Boughton. Despite the horrible weather conditions they played excellently and managed to win 5-0! Well done to all of you! :)
Thursday 16th March- Hockey Festival
Well done to our intrepid hockey team who participated in the local school hockey tournament at Maidstone Hockey Club. Despite never playing before, the team played brilliantly together and played 5 other teams; one win, two draws and two loses. Great play everyone :)
Monday 13th March - KS2 Netball league match against Southborough
On Monday the UKS2 Netball team played a league match against Southborough. It was lovely to see some excellent attacking and defending as well as great shooting.
The final result was 24-17 to Southborough but the whole team should feel incredibly proud of how well they played against such a tough team!
Wednesday 1st March - KS2 Netball league match against Greenfields
On Wednesday the UKS2 Netball team played a league match against Greenfields. It was really impressive to see their determination and team spirit throughout the game.
The final result was 13-3 to Greenfields but the whole team should feel incredibly proud of how well they played against such a tough team!
Monday 6th February- KS2 Netball league match against Headcorn
On Monday the KS2 Netball team played a league match against Headcorn. They played amazingly well together, showing excellent passing, defending and shooting skills.
Well done for an amazing 32-6 victory; it was incredible to watch! :)
Thursday 2nd February
On Thursday some children from Years 1 to 6 went to Greenfields and took part in a Cross Country event. They ran a range of distances against many other children from schools all across Maidstone.
A massive well done to all of the children who went and took part but a special mention to Ned, Jude and Rachel who won the Sportsmanship Awards for their group! :)
Wednesday 1st February- KS2 Netball league match against Boughton
On Wednesday the UKS2 Netball team played their first match of the year against Boughton Primary School. They all played incredibly well and even though they lost 8-3 they showed excellent determination and resilience throughout.

Wednesday 25th January - KS2 Football league match against Marden
On Wednesday the KS2 Football team played their first match of the year against Marden. This was their first league match of the year and they showed excellent sportsmanship and team spirit towards the other team.
Well done for an amazing 13-1 victory, it was incredible to watch! :)
Wednesday 19th October- Tennis skills festival
On Wednesday a group of children from Years 2 and 3 took part in a tennis skills festival at the Maidstone Tennis Academy. They learnt lots of new skills and it was lovely to watch their confidence growing as the event went on. Well done to you all! :)
Wednesday 12th October- Football mini world cup
On Wednesday a group of children from Years 5 and 6 went to the Gallagher stadium in Maidstone to complete in a mini world cup against 35 other schools. This was the first time the children have played together as a team and they did incredibly well, finishing in a fantastic 3rd place! All of the children showed excellent sportsmanship and determination for the whole day and should feel very proud of themselves! :)
Friday 23rd September 2022
Today we were incredibly lucky to receive a visit from three Team GB Athletes, They delivered an inspirational assembly where they talked about their lives, achievements and also challenges they have faced. Each class then spent some time with one of the athletes working on their discipline and learning more about what it takes to become a world class athlete.
Ryan Raghoo was a Team GB long jumper with Cerebral Palsy who broke the British record at the Queensland Open Championships.
Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker is a T46 para-sprinter who recently won gold at the Commonwealth Games.
Annie Tagoe is a sprinter, model & social advocate. She already has 5 podium finishes in 2022.

Thursday 30th June- KS2 Netball League Finals
On Thursday our KS2 Netball team went to Greenfields where they took part in the league finals. They played two matches, losing the first but winning the second spectacularly.
All of the team played incredibly well together and showed determination the whole way through. They finished in an amazing third place and should all feel really proud of themselves! :)
Friday 20th May- KS1 Football league match against Allington
On Friday the KS1 Football team played their first match of the year against Allington. Having never played a match together as a team before, they made an incredible team.
It was amazing to watch fantastic interceptions and a determination to keep playing their best right up to the end of the match.
Well done to you all, you should feel very proud of yourselves! :)
Tuesday 3rd May- Netball match against Westborough
On Tuesday our KS2 Netball team played their last league match against Westborough Primary. Both teams displayed determination and excellent sportsmanship.
The final result was 12-6 to East Farleigh. Well done to everyone!
Friday 29th April- Football match against Allington
On Friday our KS2 Football team played a league match against Allington. It was a very close game and our team played incredibly well. There were some excellent chances at goal and fantastic defending from everyone. Unfortunately the final result was 1-2 to Allington but everyone should be very proud of how the team played.
Well done to you all!
Thursday 31st March- Netball tournament at Greenfields
Today some children from Year 6 took part in a netball tournament at Greenfields. Despite the bitter cold and playing in rain and snow they did incredibly well to reach the quarter finals! A massive well done to all the children, you did yourselves and the school proud! Thank you to the parents for your support and continuing to cheer from the side-lines despite the weather.
Tuesday 29th March- Football tournament at Greenfields
On some children from Years 3 and 4 competed in a football tournament at Greenfields. They worked amazingly well as a team and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were incredibly successful and came second overall! Well done to all of you and a huge thank you to Mrs Austin for attending the event and supporting the children.
Friday 25th March- Netball against Boughton Monchelsea
This Friday our KS2 played their league match against Boughton Monchelsea. It was a tightly contested match, during which they demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and determination.
Well done to you all for a fantastic and well deserved 6-3 victory!
Wednesday 23rd March- Netball against Brunswick
On Wednesday the KS2 Netball team took part in a league match against Brunswick. They showed great sportsmanship and kindness whilst also ensuring they played incredibly well as a team.
The final result was 25-0 to East Farleigh; well done for a fantastic victory! :)
Thursday 17th March- Hockey Festival
On Thursday some children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a Hockey Festival at Maidstone Hockey Club.
They practised some of their skills before then putting them into matches against other schools. The children played fantastically as a team and won one of their matches.
Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the parents and Mrs Albert for your support! :)
Inter-house Competition 23rd February
On Wednesday 23rd February East Farleigh held an Agility based Inter-house competition. All children competed in different events, scoring points for their respective houses.
The children all had great fun taking part in the events and were very excited in assembly to find out the results.
The winning houses are as follows:
KS1- Rochester
LKS2- Tonbridge
UKS2- Dover

Wednesday 2nd February- Football against Boughton Monchelsea
Well done to our KS2 Football team for their match against Boughton Monchelsea. It was a close game with lots of opportunities for scoring from both teams during the game.
The final result was 0-0 and our team felt really proud of how well they had played and worked together as a team.
Tuesday 1st February- Netball against East Borough
Another fantastic game for our KS2 netball team in their game against East Borough this week with an 11-4 win.
It was a very fast paced game with lots of amazing interceptions and passes. Well done to everyone who played and thank you to all the parents and staff who supported the team. :D
Tuesday 18th January- Netball against St John's
A massive well done to our KS2 netball team for their 10-3 win in their first netball game of the year.
You should all feel extremely proud of how you played.

Tuesday 9th November- Football against East Borough
A massive well done to our KS2 football team for their 6-2 win in their first football game of the year.
You all played incredibly well and demonstrated great sportsmanship.

2020-2021
Cross Country November 2020
A huge well done to the children who competed in the Cross Country event this term.
It is so lovely to see that despite the current restrictions in place, children are still able to take part in some competitions.
All the children who took part completed the event in amazing times and should feel really proud of themselves!
